Tamro is developing its data and digital business serving the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, and consolidating all related departments into a new Data & Digital business unit. Petri Mouhu has been appointed to the head of this new unit starting from July 1, 2024.
Mouhu transitions to the role of Chief Digital Officer (CDO) from his position as the Director of the Data & Analytics Competence Center at PHOENIX Group. PHOENIX is the parent company of Tamro, operating in 29 European countries. In the new role, Mouhu will report to CEO Kai Kaasalainen. Tamro's separate subsidiary Medaffcon, which focuses on health data processing, will continue to operate as an independent unit under the leadership of Heikki Koski.
"It is a pleasure to return to Tamro after 12 years of working within the group. Tamro Finland is a pioneer in leveraging data, digitalization, and artificial intelligence across the entire PHOENIX group, providing a strong foundation for new data products and digital services. We are part of PHOENIX group's broader digital transformation, enhancing our position in utilizing innovations and AI in our business," says Mouhu.
"We are thrilled to have Petri join Tamro Finland to lead and develop our suite of digital services and data products. In line with our strategy, we see significant business opportunities in data and digitalization, which are already one of our three strategic priorities. With this change, we also strengthen our capabilities to leverage rapidly evolving AI technologies to meet the needs of both Tamro and our customers," says Kai Kaasalainen.
