Tamro is supporting children´s and youth´s care with a €12,000 donation to the Christmas campaign of the Association of Friends of the University Children's Hospitals.

The Association of Friends of the University Children's Hospitals (known in Finland as Lastenklinikoiden Kummit) supports five university children's hospitals in Finland. Their distributed support enables the acquisition of high-quality medical equipment and various development projects in children's hospitals, as well as supporting pediatric research, including childhood cancer and gastrointestinal diseases. Additionally, the organization promotes the mental health of children and young people by disseminating effective treatment programs nationwide, such as the Cool Kids program for treating anxiety disorders.

"Lastenklinikoiden Kummit warmly thanks Tamro for the impactful Christmas donation for the health of children and young people. Supporting young patients is significant both from a humane and economic perspective. Our support network enables many important high-quality medical equipment acquisitions, such as incubators for neonatal intensive care, as well as high-level pediatric research, which lays the foundation for good future care," says Katariina Schmidt, Partnership Manager at Lastenklinikoiden Kummit.

Promoting the health and well-being of children and youth has been a cause that Tamro has wanted to support with its donations for several years.

"The activities of Lastenklinikoiden Kummit align perfectly with our values and goals of social responsibility. The patient stories shared through Kummit also concretize the work we do for us at Tamro," says Katja Toivonen, Quality and Corporate Responsibility Manager at Tamro.
